Information Technology Intern

Job overview

The Information Technology Intern role is a full-time, in-office position in Cambridge, Massachusetts, for a six-month internship from January through June 2027. Pay is approximately $22 per hour. The intern supports SMMA’s Information Technology team and its staff of about 200 architects, engineers, system planners, and interior designers. The intern provides end-user support, troubleshoots hardware, software, and network issues, and assists with technology testing and rollout. This work helps staff use the firm’s systems and applications while giving the intern experience with industry-standard technology.

What you'll do

• Provide first-response support for Windows hosted desktops
• manage and prioritize support cases
• install and configure hardware, operating systems, and applications
• guide users through technical steps
• troubleshoot systems and networks
• document procedures
• repair or refer faults
• build end-user relationships
• and assist with testing and rolling out technology.
