The Director of Professional Development, Head Start role is an onsite, full-time position in New York, NY, with compensation of $60,000–$70,000 per year. Cardinal McCloskey Community Services’ mission is to protect, empower, and promote independence for at-risk children and families and people with developmental disabilities through community-based services. The director coordinates professional learning across Early Childhood Education program models and supports staff development, program monitoring, and educational assessment. The work helps strengthen staff practice and supports the division’s training, school readiness, and child-outcome goals.

What you'll do

• Develop training plans and coaching plans with CLASS Coaches
• assist with CLASS reviews
• manage the professional development calendar
• monitor the Training and Technical Assistance budget and vendor payments
• recommend staff for conferences
• provide monthly budget updates
• coordinate ECED-specific and agency-wide training
• administer educational assessment databases
• analyze and report child outcome data
• track required trainings
• assist with OPP planning
• coordinate the ECED Self-Assessment and School Readiness Committee.
