The Youth Counselor, Crisis Program role is onsite in Minneapolis, MN, part time, with a base rate of $25 per hour; weekend and overnight differentials may apply for eligible hours, and assigned sleep hours are paid at $12.41 per hour. Mount Olivet Rolling Acres provides crisis services intended to support youth in the community rather than in a hospital, hotel, or detention center. The counselor helps youth experiencing mental health crises stabilize and transition toward a longer-term living option. The role implements each youth’s therapeutic support plan, supports daily activities and safety, and works with the youth’s identified supports and care team.

What you'll do

• Implement interventions in each youth’s therapeutic support plan
• engage in daily activities and support hygiene, meals, schedules, and community outings
• manage behavior and promote safety
• lead and teach DBT groups
• administer and document medications according to guidelines
• maintain shift documentation and a safe, clean home
• collaborate with families, guardians, coworkers, and the care team
• support coping strategies and transition planning.
