Field Engineer

Job overview

The Field Engineer role is onsite at construction project sites in Phoenix, AZ. Compensation is $28–$40 per hour. The role supports construction project teams in monitoring site work and keeping projects safe, on schedule, and aligned with contract specifications. The engineer coordinates field information, inspections, deliveries, quality checks, and project documentation with superintendents and project engineers. This work helps the project team identify issues, verify installation, and maintain accurate records through construction.

What you'll do

• Attend job-specific meetings and report information to the superintendent
• review current shop and erection drawings
• monitor field progress
• perform quality checks on bolts, welds, installation, and layout
• coordinate and verify deliveries
• schedule and attend inspections
• initiate or support field RFIs
• prepare and track field documents
• report non-conformance issues
• coordinate as-builts
• facilitate concrete scanning and field surveys
• assist with crane, erection, and logistics plans as needed.
