The Residential Counselor — Swing Shift role is onsite in Seattle, WA, with a 3:30 p.m.–12:00 a.m. swing shift and Sundays and Mondays off. Compensation is $32.72–$36.12 per hour, with a $0.50-per-hour shift differential. Downtown Emergency Service Center supports people experiencing long-term homelessness and complex behavioral health and medical conditions through supportive housing and related services. The counselor helps manage day-to-day operations at permanent supportive housing projects and assists residents with needs related to persistent mental illness and substance use disorders. The role supports resident safety, engagement, service coordination, and building operations in collaboration with clinical and maintenance staff.

What you'll do

• Interact with residents
• assist clinical staff with service coordination, engagement, activities, and support groups
• manage building operations when assigned
• monitor lobby and security systems
• maintain safety
• respond to crises and emergencies
• document significant events
• assist with room turnovers, leasing, orientation, rent collection, inspections, complaints, and maintenance requests
• attend meetings and training.
