Assistant Teacher

The Assistant Teacher role is onsite in Flushing, NY. Pay is $17 per hour. Kiddie Academy’s educational child-care program serves children from six weeks to 12 years and uses hands-on learning through its Life Essentials curriculum. The assistant supports teachers in supervising children and meeting their daily needs while encouraging learning, positive behavior, and social development. The role also helps maintain a safe classroom and completes required classroom documentation.

• Build positive relationships with children and families
• support children’s physical, social, and emotional needs
• assist with supervision during activities and routines
• support learning through games and hands-on experiences
• encourage positive behavior
• follow health, safety, and licensing procedures
• maintain the classroom
• complete daily notes, attendance records, and accident reports.
