The Alcohol and Drug Counselor Trainee role is full-time and onsite in Saint Paul, MN, at Tapestry/Latitudes, 135 E Colorado St. The annual salary is $55,994–$62,120. EOSIS provides addiction treatment and recovery services through a network of treatment centers in Minnesota. Working under a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor’s supervision, the trainee provides chemical health education and therapeutic interventions to support clients’ recovery. The role develops counseling skills, coordinates treatment and community resources, and supports client access to appropriate services and funding.

What you'll do

  • Under supervision, learn and perform the 12 core counseling functions, including screening, intake, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, case management, crisis intervention, education, referrals, recordkeeping, and consultation.
  • Coordinate treatment and recovery services, assist with payer mechanisms and funding authorization, maintain a temporary license, attend staff meetings and in-services, and provide community resource connections.
  • Travel between EOSIS program locations may be required, up to 15%.
