HVAC Service Technician

Job overview

The HVAC Service Technician role is onsite in Manistee, Michigan. Compensation is $28–$38 per hour, plus spiffs based on experience. The technician serves residential and commercial customers throughout the company’s service area for Custom Sheet Metal & Heating, Inc. This role diagnoses heating and cooling problems, completes repairs and preventive maintenance, and helps customers make informed repair or replacement decisions. It also supports safe, well-documented service through equipment inspections, technical troubleshooting, and related HVAC tasks.

What you'll do

• Respond to residential and commercial service calls
• inspect equipment, diagnose problems, and complete repairs
• perform preventive maintenance
• explain repair and replacement options to customers
• read electrical diagrams and blueprints
• document completed service
• may perform basic sheet metal and air-balancing tasks
• safely operate Genie and scissors lifts when assignments require.
