The Domestic Violence Shelter Crisis Intervention Specialist position is onsite at the Medina County Shelter in Medina, OH, working Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Pay is $17.75 per hour. Hope and Healing Survivor Resource Center provides support and resources to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. The role helps maintain a safe, supportive shelter environment through confidential, trauma-informed crisis support and practical assistance. It contributes to individualized survivor support through advocacy, referrals, safety planning, shelter operations, documentation, and coordination with agencies and case managers.

What you'll do

• Provide confidential, trauma-informed crisis intervention, advocacy, hotline responses, shelter intakes, referrals, safety planning, and follow-up care
• provide shelter coverage and support safety, transportation, conflict resolution, cleaning and food preparation as needed
• facilitate self-sufficiency workshops and engage with survivors daily
• document work accurately
• collaborate with agencies, case managers, and staff on individualized survivor plans
• participate in professional development and community representation.
