Forensic Peer Mentor

Using lived experience with recovery and/or justice involvement, the mentor helps incarcerated individuals prepare for community transition through peer support, recovery coaching, education, advocacy, and connections to services and resources.

What you'll do

• Provide individual and group peer support and recovery coaching
• support recovery goals, self-advocacy, hope, and engagement
• document services and report outcomes
• collaborate with correctional staff, providers, and community partners
• assist with discharge and reentry planning and referrals
• educate participants on recovery, wellness, harm reduction, and community resources
• follow confidentiality, ethical, and facility security requirements.
