The Non-Certified Lead Teacher — Early Head Start is an onsite, full-time role in Omaha, NE, assigned to one of the listed Educare schools or learning centers. Compensation is $24.74 per hour. Educare of Omaha’s mission is to promote school readiness and support the development of children ages 0 to 5 and their families. The lead teacher plans and coordinates a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate education program that responds to children’s individual needs and program standards. The role supports children’s learning, development, safety, and transitions while using observations and assessment information to guide classroom experiences and family communication.

What you'll do

• Observe, assess, and document children’s skills and development
• develop individualized lesson plans
• coordinate referrals for children with special or mental health needs
• participate in interdisciplinary and individualized education or family service planning
• support transitions between programs and to kindergarten
• supervise children and maintain a safe, healthy classroom
• plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities across learning and development areas
• use assessment results to plan experiences and share information with families
• submit lesson plans and create documentation panels.
