HVAC Service Technician — Residential Systems

Job overview

What you'll do

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems
• service air conditioners, heat pumps, gas furnaces, package units, air handlers, mini splits, thermostats, and control systems
• troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, airflow, and control problems
• perform preventive maintenance and inspections
• recommend appropriate repairs
• explain issues and options to customers
• complete service calls safely
• document services and invoices
• maintain company vehicle and tools
• communicate job status and follow-up needs
• follow safety procedures and applicable codes.
