This role contributes to the Nuclear Medicine team by performing exams, assessing patients, completing documentation, and participating in quality control activities.

What you'll do

• Position and prepare patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performed. Perform procedures and assess patients throughout and responding to the patient’s needs as appropriate. Complete appropriate documentation for each study performed. Participate in quality control and assessment activities on a daily basis. Handle radiopharmaceuticals to include storage, dosage preparation/calculation, administration, and disposal. Perform quality control, equipment calibration, and equipment maintenance. Participate in the improvement of operational functions of the department. Monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of care and practices
• identifying opportunities for improvement through collaboration.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology

Experience

Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course, as specified in policy. Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
