The Travel Registered Nurse (RN), Progressive Care Unit (PCU) role is onsite in Denton, TX, with compensation listed as $1,678 per hour. The schedule is night shift, 7 p.m.–7 a.m., for a 13-week assignment at Medical City Denton. The role supports a 25-bed unit with a 4:1 or 5:1 patient ratio. The nurse provides care in the progressive care setting, working with the unit team and using bedside monitoring and other listed equipment. The role supports patient monitoring and unit procedures, including tele monitoring and emergent thoracentesis.

What you'll do

• Provide nursing care in the progressive care unit
• work with the unit’s day or night staffing team
• use equipment including BiPAP, restraints, Airvo, seizure precautions, bedside monitoring, and telemetry
• participate in tele monitoring and emergent thoracentesis procedures. Required certifications listed are BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification
• preceptor and charge nurse experience are preferred.
