What you'll do

• Oversee preparation and baking of bakery items and gourmet pastries
• create desserts for dining and catered events
• prepare other food as directed by the general manager or chef
• maintain cooking and holding temperatures
• bake and decorate cakes
• conduct menu costing and planning
• set up product displays
• order, purchase, and stock bakery items
• maintain inventory and product cost controls
• sanitize the kitchen
• use proper portioning
• answer customer questions.
