The Medical Billing and Insurance Specialist role is onsite in Reston, VA, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Compensation is $26–$30 per hour, based on experience. The role supports a fertility center. The specialist manages insurance verification, authorizations, claims, payment posting, accounts receivable, patient financial counseling, and collections. Accurate billing and clear financial communication help patients understand coverage and payment options while supporting the center’s daily operations and patient experience.

What you'll do

• Verify insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits
• obtain prior authorizations
• prepare and submit claims
• retrieve EOB and EFT information
• post payments
• investigate denied or unpaid claims
• review accounts receivable aging
• and follow up with insurers. Explain coverage and payment options to patients, prepare statements, follow up on balances, maintain financial records, process mail and deposits, answer calls, and assist with scheduling and office functions.

Why this role
