Maintenance Mechanic

Compensation is $28–$0 per year. The Maintenance Mechanic role is onsite in Arverne, NY. The mechanic works in the Facilities department and reports to the Facilities Director at the Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center. The role exists to repair and service the facility and support safe, functional operations. It contributes by maintaining building systems, patient-care areas, grounds, and equipment, and by assisting with custodial and facilities operations as needed.

What you'll do

• Perform painting, plastering, masonry, plumbing repairs except boiler work, light electrical repairs and installations, appliance and machinery repairs, lock installation, office furniture repair, and carpentry repairs
• coordinate facility maintenance with the NYC Department of Health and contractors as directed
• assist with custodial procedures, supplies, equipment security, grounds maintenance, snow removal, trash and medical hazardous waste removal, and facility opening and closing.
