The Operational Strength Attribute Lead, Vehicle Integration role is onsite in Foster City, CA; base salary is $224,000–$269,000 per year. At Zoox, the role supports engineers working to deliver vehicle performance and safety for fully autonomous vehicles. The lead owns strength and durability targets and guides analysis, design optimization, testing, and failure investigation across the vehicle development cycle to help ensure structures and systems perform safely and reliably throughout their intended lifespan.

What you'll do

• Define robot-level strength and durability targets and cascade them to system teams
• assess static strength, stiffness, dynamic loading, and fatigue
• collaborate on structural design solutions
• correlate road-load data with simulations
• translate customer usage profiles into laboratory test specifications
• lead component or full-vehicle validation
• investigate failures and verify countermeasures
• assess manufacturing and assembly feasibility
• report status and share technical practices.
