Driver for IDD Day Program

The Driver for IDD Day Program role is onsite in Cleveland, MS. Pay is $10–$11 per hour. Bridge Community Development Center Mississippi provides support services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and works to promote fulfilling, independent lives. The driver provides safe, reliable transportation to and from the day program and community destinations. The role supports participants’ access to programming while coordinating with staff and accommodating mobility needs.

What you'll do

• Transport program participants to and from the day program and community destinations
• assist with boarding, exiting, and securing wheelchairs or mobility devices as needed
• maintain a clean, safe, functioning vehicle
• conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report maintenance concerns
• follow routes and schedules while adapting to participant needs
• communicate participant status, incidents, or concerns to program staff
• follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and agency policies.
