The CNC Lathe Machinist — 1st or 2nd Shift role is onsite in Granite City, IL, with compensation of $30–$36 per hour. Ehrhardt Engineered Solutions designs and builds custom tools, dies, special machines, automated equipment, and integrated solutions, and manufactures products for the commercial nuclear power industry. This role sets up and operates multi-axis CNC lathes to machine workpieces to engineered specifications. It contributes to safe, efficient production by interpreting drawings and programs, monitoring machining, correcting issues, and coordinating with management and programming personnel.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate CNC multi-axis lathes using live tooling
• interpret engineered drawings, programs, and setup information
• mount and align tooling and workpieces
• load or create machine programs
• set controls and monitor operations
• measure parts and correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
• perform basic maintenance and cleaning
• follow safety regulations
• and operate multiple machines when the job allows.

Why this role

Live-tool experience and conversational programming are required; Esprit programming and Mori Seki or Tsugami experience are pluses. Associate degree or equivalent, or five years of related experience and/or training.
