Group Facilitator, Substance Use Counseling (CSAC)

The Group Facilitator role is onsite in Richmond, VA, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Pay is $52,000–$62,000 per year. The position supports Virginia Family Services’ Addiction Recovery Treatment Services team. The facilitator provides structured counseling and recovery support to people experiencing substance-use challenges. The role contributes to treatment goals through group and individual counseling within credential and supervision scope, individualized planning, care coordination, progress monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation.

What you'll do

• Lead and co-lead substance-use counseling and recovery groups
• provide individual and group counseling within credential and supervision scope
• develop, implement, and revise treatment plans
• coordinate care and connect individuals with community resources
• maintain clinical documentation in accordance with VFS and DBHDS requirements
• monitor and document progress
• administer random drug screenings according to established procedures
• participate in supervision, team meetings, and training
• maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Why this role
