The Cook role is onsite in Newhall, CA, with compensation of $18–$23 per hour. The position is full-time in the dietary department at Santa Clarita Post Acute Care Center, a 99-bed skilled nursing facility that provides a continuum of care between hospital and home. The cook prepares meals for residents and patients, employees, and visitors according to menus and recipes, coordinating preparation with mealtimes. The role also helps maintain kitchen cleanliness, food quality, and accurate preparation and supply records, and may direct food service employees when department leaders are absent.

What you'll do

• Prepare and cook a variety of foods for residents and patients, employees, and visitors
• plan cooking schedules around mealtimes
• perform assigned cleaning duties
• maintain an organized kitchen
• monitor food quality and presentation
• maintain food preparation, inventory, and supply records
• direct Food and Nutrition Services employees when the Food Service Director and Assistant Food Service Director/Chef Manager are absent.
