Senior Construction Estimator

Job overview

Compensation is $75–$100,000 per year. The Senior Construction Estimator role is onsite in Manchester, NH; DEW Construction’s stated mission is to build a team of professionals and serve as a construction partner committed to project success. The estimator plans, coordinates, and estimates construction projects, preparing scopes and pricing that support competitive, accurate bids and profitable project delivery. The role works with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and the preconstruction team, using project information and historical cost data to assess scope, risks, and construction methods.

What you'll do

• Interpret specifications and drawings
• attend pre-bid meetings
• investigate site conditions
• identify risks and mitigation strategies
• develop self-performed scopes when required
• evaluate design and value-engineering options
• prepare takeoffs and price work items
• review subcontractor and vendor quotes
• maintain estimate backup and pricing records
• review pricing with estimating and preconstruction leadership
• support other estimators
• establish budgets
• participate in client presentations and project handoffs
• and visit project sites.
