Certified Peer Specialist — Intensive Residential Treatment Services

The Certified Peer Specialist role is onsite at the Community Foundation Intensive Residential Treatment Service in Maplewood, MN. Compensation is $27.48 per hour. The program provides intensive mental health and integrated substance use disorder treatment for 16 clients for approximately 90 days. As part of the treatment team, the specialist uses a peer perspective to support clients’ recovery, self-advocacy, socialization, and self-sufficiency. The role also helps clients build daily living and community skills while supporting client rights and self-determination.

What you'll do

• Provide peer support, encouragement, and mentoring
• complete reports and charting
• help clients participate in recovery and treatment planning
• support client rights and self-determination
• assist with daily living, vocational skills, housing, financial supports, and community transportation
• organize and lead social and recreational activities
• and collaborate with IRTS staff.
