The cook joins the dietary team at Absolut Care Aurora Park Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation to help provide nourishing and appealing meals to residents. The role contributes to resident nutrition and efficient meal service by preparing meals to menus, standardized recipes, and dietary restrictions; following food-temperature and sanitation procedures; portioning and serving meals; supporting food preparation and tray-line setup; maintaining kitchen and storage areas; and coordinating with dietary aides and the Food Service director.

What you'll do

• Prepare hot and cold meals using standardized recipes and dietary restrictions
• follow food-temperature and sanitation procedures
• portion and serve meals for residents and staff
• assist with food preparation, tray-line setup, and kitchen organization
• maintain clean kitchen and storage areas
• work with dietary aides and the Food Service director
• follow health codes, regulatory requirements, and infection-control guidelines.
