What you'll do

• Works from prioritized work orders, shipping and receiving documents, written and verbal orders and instructions
• uses forklift trucks, overhead cranes, electric material movers, hand trucks, manual material movers, scales, strapping equipment, tape machine and miscellaneous air and hand tools
• procures and completes requested orders from all departments and transports to shipping area
• inspects cartons and crates for obvious damage and reports to supervisor
• loads dropped trailers and common carrier
• weighs and records product weights
• affixes all required stickers for shipments
• packages items and/or products to complete shipments
• receives numerous items for production, tool room, corporate offices and other areas
• assures counts and condition of materials and items, notes discrepancies
• delivers goods and items to appropriate party or place
• performs daily PM maintenance checks on lift trucks and related equipment.
