Direct Support Professional

The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Decatur, GA, full-time, and pays $13–$15 per hour. The role provides personal care and daily support, helps individuals pursue personal goals and community activities, follows care instructions and approved plans, maintains required records, and reports health, safety, or other concerns. It contributes to individualized support by working with individuals, professional staff, and the House Manager.

What you'll do

• Assist with grooming, bathing, hygiene, toileting, and feeding
• support appointments, family visits, recreation, and socialization
• follow physician and nursing orders
• schedule annual medical and dental appointments as needed
• implement emergency procedures
• participate in ISP goal development and training
• maintain daily notes and records
• prepare meals according to posted menus
• maintain a clean and safe home
• report unusual occurrences, safety issues, and suspected abuse
• attend staff meetings and continuing education.
