The Transformer Repair Technician role is onsite in Panama City, FL, with pay of $23–$27 per hour. The first shift is Monday–Thursday, 6:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; mandatory overtime currently includes Friday and Saturday shifts and is expected to continue through year-end, subject to change. The technician works in Central Moloney’s Repair department, supporting transformer manufacturing and repair. The technician troubleshoots, repairs, and retests distribution transformers that fail production testing or are returned by customers. The work includes component replacement, electrical testing, documentation, and communication of recurring defects to help ensure safe, timely releases and reduce repeat issues.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and repair production rejects and customer-returned transformers
• inspect units for electrical, insulation, oil, mechanical, and cosmetic defects
• disassemble and rebuild units
• replace components
• perform electrical tests and coordinate final testing
• conduct leak checks, refill oil, and complete cosmetic inspection
• interpret work instructions and diagrams
• document findings and test results
• communicate recurring defects
• operate material-handling equipment safely
• follow LOTO, PPE, electrical, oil-spill, and environmental procedures.
