What you'll do

• Obtain authorizations for office visits and physician-administered medications
• research open claims and unpaid insurance balances
• address denials, submit appeals, check claim status, and contact insurers
• post payments
• verify insurance eligibility and benefits
• explain benefits and patient balances
• review schedules and next-day balances
• approve scheduled and same-day injections after checking authorizations and communicate with clinical staff
• assist with patient assistance programs.
