Data Scientist III — Bioinformatics

The Data Scientist III — Bioinformatics role is onsite in Ridgefield, CT, with compensation of $38–$43.33 per hour. The position is a contract assignment through System One, which provides outsourced services and workforce solutions to clients. The role applies computational and statistical methods to genomic and multi-omics data to support therapeutic target identification and disease biomarker discovery. Analysis, visualization, quality control and communication of findings help research collaborators interpret results and plan follow-up work.

What you'll do

• Design, implement and deploy next-generation sequencing data analysis workflows
• analyze and interpret genomic datasets including bulk RNA-seq, scRNA-seq and ATAC-Seq
• visualize and integrate multi-omics data
• mine internal, collaborative and public databases
• benchmark methods and define quality-control measures
• develop analysis approaches when standard methods are inadequate
• present results
• automate processing and reporting
• maintain accurate records and comply with applicable regulations and procedures.
