Behavior Coach – Part-Time

The Behavior Coach – Part-Time role is onsite in Sarasota, FL; compensation is not specified. The position supports youth residents as part of a youth-care team and a mission-driven organization preparing to move into a new youth shelter. The coach provides supervision, guidance, behavior coaching, life-skills instruction, and positive role modeling to help residents build skills, confidence, and resilience and work toward individualized service-plan goals.

What you'll do

• Provide awake supervision and monitor resident safety and behavior, including during meals
• maintain a structured program schedule
• enforce program rules and behavior-management systems
• guide and participate in activities, outings, life-skills work, homework, time management, and meal preparation
• participate in Adventure-Based Counseling activities as applicable
• model positive behavior
• intervene to prevent altercations and elopements.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required or must be obtained within 30 days. A Florida driver’s license and authorized-driver qualifications are required; staff must work at least one shift every 30 days to maintain employment.
