The Special Education Teacher role is onsite in Surprise, AZ. Compensation is $45–$52 per hour. Pediatric Developmental Services partners with schools and clinics and provides teachers and pediatric therapists to support children. The teacher develops and implements individualized education plans, prepares lessons, tracks student progress, and works with families and school staff. The role supports students’ learning and development through individualized instruction and a safe, productive classroom environment.

What you'll do

• Create and execute IEPs
• communicate student progress and challenges to staff and families
• prepare lesson plans for administrator approval
• participate in IEP meetings
• use individualized reinforcement techniques
• invite families to participate in educational progress
• prepare quarterly progress reports
• consult with onsite therapists about disciplinary and behavioral issues
• maintain a safe, productive classroom.
