The Navigator role is onsite in Port Charlotte, Florida. Compensation is $17.63 per hour. St. Vincent de Paul CARES describes the work as supporting clients at the CARE Center with intake, follow-up, and navigation toward permanent housing. The Navigator assesses client needs, helps set and monitor individual goals, and coordinates referrals and practical support. The role uses the Pinellas Homeless Management Information System to manage client records and supports clients’ progress toward housing plans and permanent housing.

What you'll do

• Register new clients between 2:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
• set goals and monitor progress
• assist with client volunteers
• monitor dining and lounge cleanliness
• provide information, housing and apartment-search assistance, veteran assistance, and referrals
• support access to showers, bus passes, respite, and phones
• use PHMIS
• report client progress
• facilitate life-skills groups
• complete required paperwork.
