Assistant Operations Manager

The Assistant Operations Manager role is onsite in Wheeling, IL, with a flexible Monday–Friday schedule of 25–40 hours per week between 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., plus a rotating Saturday morning schedule one to two times per month. The posting lists $22 to $28 per hour. Mad Science provides STEM enrichment programming and entertainment to get children excited about science. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the assistant supports staffing, marketing, customer communications, and program fulfillment. The role contributes to day-to-day operations and sales and marketing efforts, and may teach or assist with programming at client locations when needed.

What you'll do

• Answer phones, address customer inquiries, and book programs from inbound calls
• assist with social media and email marketing
• create print marketing materials
• contact schools and daycares to market services and arrange programs
• assist with on-site school program administration
• support training, coaching, and hiring
• and serve as an instructor when necessary.
