The Senior Accountant role is an onsite, full-time position in Midvale, UT, paying $65,000–$75,000 per year. Utah Partners for Health is a nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center providing medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services to underserved populations across Utah. Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Accountant supports accurate and timely financial reporting through general ledger work, reconciliations, close processes, grant accounting, payroll review, and audit support. The role also helps strengthen accounting procedures and serves as a dependable financial partner to organizational leaders.

What you'll do

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, allocations, and account corrections
• perform balance-sheet, bank, investment, payroll, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations
• support monthly and annual close
• maintain accounting by program, department, grant, funding source, and QuickBooks class
• assist with grant accounting and restricted-fund tracking
• review payroll, benefits, accounts payable, and revenue transactions
• account for in-kind contributions, fixed assets, depreciation, and prepaid expenses
• prepare financial schedules, variance analyses, and management reports
• support audits, tax filings, and external reporting
• improve procedures, controls, documentation, and close processes.

Why this role

Healthcare, nonprofit, grant-funded, or federally funded accounting experience is strongly preferred. QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel proficiency required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.
