Outside Plant Engineer — Fiber Optic Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Assist field coordinators and design technicians with project activities
• work with the Design Manager on project budgets and scope
• create site designs and drawings from field investigations, original drawings, and satellite or internet imagery
• complete OSP designs using AutoCAD, GIS, Aramis, or equivalent
• assess field data and office post-processing
• develop best practices and workflow documentation
• manage cost and time constraints
• perform make-ready analysis and pole surveys
• update the OCALC database
• conduct pole-loading and wind-loading calculations
• review road prints, identify conflicts with existing facilities, and select routes and equipment.
