Oral Surgeon Assistant

The Oral Surgeon Assistant role is onsite in Austin, TX; compensation is $23–$25 per hour. The assistant supports Brident Dental’s oral surgery patient care and patient experience. The role assists the oral surgeon during treatment, anticipates clinical needs, maintains treatment records, takes blood pressure, provides permitted pre- and post-operative and oral hygiene instructions, and supports infection control and equipment readiness. The posting requires a Texas RDA certification and current X-ray license, with CPR and ACLS certificates required; travel is required.

What you'll do

• Assist the oral surgeon during patient treatment
• anticipate the surgeon’s needs
• follow OSHA, Dental Board, and WDS policies
• maintain patient records
• take blood pressure
• provide pre- and post-operative instructions within the surgeon’s limits
• provide oral hygiene instructions
• prepare treatment units
• stock supplies
• report supply needs and equipment issues
• perform sterilizer duties when needed.
