The teacher provides instructional experiences that support children’s social, emotional, physical, and educational development. The role helps children engage in learning, make progress toward outcomes, and learn in a safe environment while keeping families, staff, and partners informed about assessment and progress.

What you'll do

• Apply knowledge of early childhood development
• engage children in varied learning experiences
• complete required annual training and professional development
• support English Language Learners’ progress in their primary language and English
• use children’s interests to inform curriculum
• maintain a safe and healthy environment and required ratios
• monitor progress toward learning outcomes
• inform parents, staff, and partners about screening and assessment
• complete required records
• promote staff relationships conducive to learning.
