Tower Technician III — Wireless Services

Compensation is $0 per year. The Tower Technician III — Wireless Services role is based primarily out of the assigned location in Knoxville, TN; Pillar Innovations’ wireless services team builds and upgrades customer communications infrastructure. The technician completes installations, repairs, and upgrades at communications sites, including elevated tower work, while leading and mentoring team members. The role helps deliver wireless network infrastructure safely and efficiently and may involve extensive travel, extended hours, weekends, and holidays.

What you'll do

• Build, expand, and upgrade wireless customer infrastructure
• interpret construction drawings, RF data sheets, and structural and mount analyses
• install and upgrade equipment at height
• troubleshoot equipment and network functionality
• report defects and hazards
• document job costs and inventory
• conduct site audits
• operate RF sweep, PIM, and fiber test equipment
• train and mentor team members
• assist with labor and materials scheduling
• lead the tower team when the foreman or manager is absent
• develop and execute rigging plans.

Why this role

Requires a valid driver’s license, relevant tower installation and maintenance experience, and the ability to climb at heights exceeding 300 feet; certifications include climber/rescuer, rigging, RF awareness, OSHA 10, and First Aid/CPR as required.
