Residential Assistant — 2nd Shift, 5 PM–1 AM

The Residential Assistant role is onsite in Asbury Park, NJ, with compensation of $16.38 per hour. The New Jersey Association on Correction staffs a supportive housing program for men living with HIV/AIDS. The role helps maintain residents’ safety, well-being, and dignity through facility monitoring, crisis response, daily living assistance, and coordination with case managers and health educators. It also supports health and wellness programming, resident intake and orientation, and accurate shift and incident documentation.

What you'll do

• Monitor facility safety and security
• conduct house checks and document observations
• respond to emergencies and coordinate with medical or crisis services
• support medication adherence and medical appointments
• collaborate on HIV/AIDS education and wellness workshops
• screen and orient potential residents
• maintain security, fire, and shift logs
• complete incident reports
• assist with meal preparation, hygiene, and transportation coordination
• maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
