The Medication Assistant (MA) serves as caregiver who provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a charge nurse.
What you'll do
- Administers prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
- Documents resident care and medication administration.
- Communicates changing condition and medication follow-up to the charge nurse.
- Collects specimens and gathers vital signs.
- Provides housekeeping and laundry services.
- Assists with wellness and recreational programs.
What we're looking for
- Education
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
- Experience
- 3 months experience in Long Term Care required
