Transmission and Distribution Superintendent — Utility Construction

The Transmission and Distribution Superintendent is an onsite field role based out of Reading, PA, with work in Greensburg, PA, surrounding areas, and projects nationwide. Compensation is not specified; per diem is available for qualified candidates. The role supports utility construction projects, primarily distribution work, with a smaller share of transmission work. The superintendent leads field construction operations and coordinates crews, subcontractors, materials, schedules, and safety requirements. Oversight of distribution, transmission, and substation work helps ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes.

What you'll do

• Lead daily field operations for distribution, transmission, and substation construction
• plan and supervise construction activities
• oversee overhead and underground distribution systems and related infrastructure
• support high-voltage transmission work and substation activities
• manage subcontractors and verify scope, specifications, safety, and schedule compliance
• coordinate craft supervision, staffing, materials, equipment, and site resources
• monitor progress, quantities, hours, and productivity
• maintain client and stakeholder relationships
• review schedules and field documentation
• support RFIs, design changes, and change orders
• coordinate inspections and testing
• conduct walkdowns and punch lists
• maintain safety documentation and daily reports
• read and interpret construction drawings.
