Hospice Registered Nurse (RN), PRN On-Call

The Hospice Registered Nurse (RN), PRN On-Call role is field-based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Pay is $100 per completed visit from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and $200 per completed visit from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.; final terms are negotiable based on experience and qualifications. The role supports Millenia Hospice patients and families across the service area. The nurse responds to patient needs during assigned on-call periods, completing assessments and urgent visits, managing symptoms, and providing comfort-focused care. Coordination with the interdisciplinary team, patient and caregiver education, accurate documentation, and clear handoffs help maintain continuity and dignity of care.

What you'll do

• Respond to patient and caregiver calls during assigned on-call periods
• complete assigned PRN and urgent nursing visits
• assess patients and identify clinical changes
• provide skilled nursing care, pain management, symptom control, and comfort-focused interventions
• notify clinical leaders of significant changes or urgent needs
• follow individualized plans of care
• coordinate with the interdisciplinary team
• educate and support patients and caregivers
• document calls, visits, assessments, and care coordination
• hand off events to the assigned RN Case Manager
• comply with hospice regulations, nursing standards, HIPAA, and agency policies.
