What you'll do

• Lead security audits and compliance reviews covering NIST, GLBA, FERPA, and PCI DSS scope where applicable. Maintain security control and risk registers, prepare audit documentation, and develop cybersecurity policies with the vCISO. Support external audits and vendor security reviews

• and lead business impact analysis, recovery planning, and tabletop exercises.

Why this role

Requires 10 years in GRC, IT audit, or compliance, including four years supporting higher education or public agencies. At least one of CISA, CRISC, or CISSP is required; a master’s degree and several other certifications are preferred. Allocation is 0.3–0.5 FTE.
