Intensive Home-Based Support Staff

The Intensive Home-Based Support Staff role is field-based hybrid, with in-home, community-based, and telehealth sessions serving Quincy, Macomb, and surrounding areas in IL. Pay is $35–$40 per hour for direct client care and $17.05 per hour for indirect and administrative work. Blue Kite Wellness provides individualized mental health services and supports children and families in Illinois Pathways to Success. Working under clinical direction, the staff member helps youth and caregivers practice therapeutic strategies and skills in everyday settings. Collaboration, observation, documentation, and safety-plan support contribute to family-centered care and the clinical team’s intervention planning.

What you'll do

• Provide authorized home-based support
• carry out interventions under clinical direction
• help youth practice coping, emotional regulation, communication, problem-solving, and behavioral skills
• support caregivers
• observe interactions and share information for assessments and planning
• participate in Child and Family Team activities
• support crisis prevention and safety plans
• document services and attend supervision, meetings, and training.

Why this role

Field-based work includes local travel and may include evening hours and scheduled support outside traditional business hours, including evenings and one weekend day. Requires at least two years working with children and families and current Illinois Mental Health Professional qualifications.
