The Registered Nurse role is onsite in a school-like setting in Denver, CO. Compensation is $74,000–$84,000 per year. The nurse joins Firefly Autism’s interdisciplinary team serving students with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental needs. The RN provides nursing care and medical oversight, administers medications and treatments, monitors student health, and coordinates with educators, therapists, medical professionals, and families. The role supports student safety and well-being while maintaining health records, implementing care plans, and helping staff follow medical and safety protocols; the listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

What you'll do

  • Deliver nursing care to students with diverse medical needs
  • maintain timely medical records
  • perform body checks and monitor for illness or injury
  • oversee QMAP staff and support their documentation
  • administer medications and treatments
  • provide care for G-tubes, seizure disorders, allergies, and other complex conditions
  • implement individualized health plans
  • provide emergency care including CPR and first aid
  • coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, schools, providers, and families
  • check medication and emergency supplies
  • participate in care planning and IEP meetings when necessary
  • train staff on medical procedures and health protocols.
