Mobile Railcar Repair Technician

The Mobile Railcar Repair Technician role is onsite in Addison, NY, with work at customer sites, rail yards, and other locations; extensive travel is required. What you'll do

• Inspect, maintain, and repair freight railcars
• inspect, test, remove, install, and repair tank-car valves and fittings
• resurface, lap, and leak-test valve seats
• troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform structural and running-gear repairs
• comply with FRA, AAR, and company standards
• complete inspection and regulatory records
• operate welding and cutting equipment when required
• drive and operate a service truck
• maintain parts and tool inventory
• communicate repair status and site conditions.
