Utility-Scale Heavy Civil Division Manager

The Utility-Scale Heavy Civil Division Manager role is onsite in Gilbert, AZ or Prineville, OR, with approximately 25% monthly travel to project sites nationwide. Compensation is $180,000–$250,000 per year. The role leads R-2 Contractors’ Heavy Civil Division and its utility-scale civil construction projects. The manager provides strategic and operational leadership across projects, developing teams and leaders while coordinating resources, improving performance, and maintaining customer relationships. The position contributes to safe, productive, high-quality project delivery and long-term division growth.

What you'll do

• Lead Heavy Civil operations across utility-scale projects
• develop Superintendents, Foremen, and field leaders
• oversee earthwork, grading, site development, stormwater infrastructure, and erosion control
• coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and resources
• partner with project, operations, estimating, and executive teams
• monitor production, quality, equipment use, budgets, and performance
• support planning, scheduling, forecasting, and resource management
• build customer and stakeholder relationships
• promote safety and continuous improvement.
