The Senior Software Engineer role is an onsite position based in Hyattsville, MD, with a salary range of $107,900 to $195,050 per year. This role supports the DIA-NDOC DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) contract at Leidos. The role exists to build and maintain scalable microservices that interface with Kafka and Elasticsearch. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design reliable, observable, and secure systems that leverage cloud-based computing, AI, and machine learning.

What you'll do

• Design and develop Python microservices
• Implement Kafka message consumers/producers
• Integrate with Elasticsearch
• Write unit and integration tests
• Build CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues
• Contribute to technical documentation.
