The Design Manager manages projects in the design phases and may lead one or more design teams. The role coordinates client presentations, project deliverables, schedules, staffing, and budgets while helping ensure designs meet project requirements.

What you'll do

• Work with Design Principals and leadership on client design presentations
• manage project teams through design development and finalization
• serve as a client contact and attend client meetings
• develop workplans within schedules and fees
• monitor schedules, deliverables, deadlines, staffing, meetings, billing, and invoices
• mentor interns and junior staff
• communicate with clients, consultants, and staff
• confirm designs meet zoning and building code requirements.

Why this role

Requires at least eight years of continuous architectural work experience, including multifamily residential and commercial projects. An undergraduate degree in architecture or a related design field is required; a master’s degree and architect licensure are preferred. Relocation assistance may be considered.
